I recently had the P1351 code and after lots of help here and my diesel mechanic looking at it we decided it was an injector. I bought a reco injector and put it in and the car instantly run a lot smoother, the car at 1000rpm
Hello all, I have only just bought a CITROEN C4 SX 1.6 auto. While driving my car in 3rd it changes to 4th dries fine for a little while then it changes to limp mode which is 3rd gear. Citroen Penzance carried out diagnostic tests to the gearbox, it showed fault code p0006 pressure regulation reading permanent fault in BVA-AL4 auto box.
The car drives ok although the gearbox is a bit weird. (never had a PSA car before so I can't tell what is normal or not) U1108 : Fault in communication on the CAN with the engine management ECU : No signal. U1308 : Fault in the gearbox electrical control on the CAN network : Incorrect value received. U1209 : Intersystems CAN : One of the
Hi. Took my Citroen Grand Picasso to Citroen Garage, because of rubbing sound and squealing sound when driving from stationary . The rubbing and squealing is only apparent when the car is accelerating. less obivious from A3 upwards on the EGS Gearbox. The Citroen Mechanic said it is a gearbox fault and noticed that there is oil evident around
My C4 Grand Picasso displayed "gearbox faulty" last week setting the car into NEUTRAL as it dropped out of gear. Intermittently it would drive (so logic said that something else was causing the box not to drive not the box itself). I investigated further and discovered exactly what other owners had found to be the fault.
2012 C4 Grand Picasso diesel with egs gearbox, 55,000 miles. Recently, I've found the car will accelerate normally in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears, but the clutch seems to slip when it selects 4th and 5th and to a lesser extent 6th gear. This can be interesting when trying to move into the space between two artics when joining a dual carriageway!
He said that unfortunately, he has had a number of C4 Picasso in for this and it appears to be a common fault. The gearbox diff should last much longer (car had done 40,000). The total bill for this job was £2,100, (but included a new 6th gear as they also advised that this was fractured).
To help others I had had the following faults. ABS Fault, Brake fault, EPS fault, Depollution fault, Handbrake fault, Gearbox fault, Power steering fault. EGS Gearbox would only change using paddles from 1st up to 3rd. To get further I had to accelerate and drop into Neutral and then back into Auto mode to get 5th or 6th. Gearbox changed down fine!

It has been in to have diagnostics done at a different Citroen specialist a few days after I got the car and they just ran a diagnostic test and said they only found minor fault codes which they cleared. They then said it should be fine as there were no major fault codes appearing, however, the problem is still there. 4DLRi2J.
