We stayed in Verona and did day trips to Lake Garda. One can go by train or bus. The bus goes up the east shore of Lake Garda.

With a short flight from London to Verona (Just 1hr-40 mins on easyJet and we paid £98), and then a 20-minute drive to the lake, Lake Garda turned out to be the ideal place for a short trip to Italy. If you wanted to go to Lake Garda you have again a couple of options. The 2 train stations on the lake are Peschiera del Garda and Desenzano.
