Does anyone know what the signs are for DPF regeneration on the 2.0 TDCi. Would a burning smell, like the smell you get when a new exhaust is fitted, be apparent? I had this today but it went away quite quickly. Car has done about 900 miles

This happened with my 2008 Kuga 2.0 tdci 140. Came on with no loss of power and it drove fine. It took 2 visits to the dealer to find out it was a faulty DPF sensor.
Having had a 2.0 tdci mondeo and being a ford tech I’ve came across this on my own 130000 mile car and others, 2 rubber pipes off the dpf to the bulkhead sensor brake up, suck in or just crumble away, either way you need to replace those, some times the sensor also. You then need ids to do a forced regen because it hasn’t been able to do one. Hi ive got a 59 plate 2 litre tdci mondeo, earlier it did a regen when i pulled onto my drive so i left it for about 10 mins to finish and then switched the car off like normal, later on i went out again and drove no more than another 10 miles and when i pulled back onto my drive it did the same

I own a 2006 focus 2.0 tdci 68'000 miles. full Ford service history. I am aware that the DPF needs changing at 75K service. I have rung round many inpendent garage and diesel specialist who wont touch it. Mt local ford dealership who quoted £750 for genuine ford DPF and £450 to fit an aftermarket one.

ford transit custom dpf regeneration keeps aborting. Firstly i have already posted this in the technical section but have just seen this mk8 section so maybe this problem may of been experienced on here by someone. i have a 15 plate ford transit custom that has recent dpf problems. first it wouldnt regenerate and it came back as been 140% Re: DPF Issue Ford Mondeo 2012MY 2.0 TDCI Duratorq. You are correct sir. If the soot load is too high it will not allow a regen for fear of fire. When you refit the filter, go to service tab and tell ecu the filter is replaced and set counters back to zero. Dont forget to keep battery on charge while doing any reprogramming. T9TfHp.
